Disaster movies were born in the late 70s. Flicks like The Towering Inferno and The Poseidon Adenveture ushered in more movies with collisions, flames and lots of insane stunts.
On August 18th, New York City's Quad Cinema kicks off a flare-fest of disaster flicks! Not only will you get to see Karen Black land an airliner in Airport, but you'll get to watch the spoofiest of disaster spoof movies, Airplane!. Just don't call me Roger...you have to see the movie.
