Joe Berlinger's new documentary Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru will premiere on Netflix July 15. Members around the world can watch the behind the scenes of Robbins' annual Date with Destiny event.
Every year around 2,500 people travel to Florida to participate in a grueling six days (and nights) non-stop event, where participants are urged to find their core and more. For the first time ever, Robbins allows a film crew to not only film the seminar, but to catch all the behind the scenes on how this annual event is created.

"My goal in making this film was to share a profound experience that I myself underwent," said Joe Berlinger in a press release. "While the event itself may not be for everyone, I hope my approach will help audiences think about the nature of their own lives as they witness the transformations of the characters in the film." The filmmaker continued: "While seemingly a departure from the themes found in my other work, this film is actually very much a look at social issues but from a personal point of view. I believe there would be significantly less trouble in the world if people were self-actualized and connected to who they really are."
This doc could be as intense, revealing and as grueling as one of Robbins' famed seminars.
Berlinger is known for his documentaries Brother's Keeper, Some Kind of Monster, Crude and the Paradise Lost trilogy.
