Today, November 8, 2016 is Election Day. It's a historic moment in US history. Why? It's the first time we have a woman running for president. We also have a businessman with zero political experience also in the running for the White House.
Whether you're red or blue, vote. It's the most important thing you can do. We, American citizens, are fortunate to have the right to vote, to discuss and follow our politics without governmental influence or fear of reprisal.
The Constitution, which was ratified in 1789, clearly states, "The House of Representatives shall be composed of Members chosen every second Year by the People of the several States, and the Electors in each State shall have the Qualifications requisite for Electors of the most numerous Branch of the State Legislature."
The Fifteenth, Nineteenth, Twenty-Third, Twenty-Fourth and Twenty-Sixth Amendments extend the right to all of America's citizens.
You have no excuse not to vote. Do it.
