Chances are you won’t be chased through the museum by a T. Rex who wants a cuddle. However, the adults-only sleepover at the American Museum of Natural History will still give you a night to remember. I mean, can you imagine snoring under a giant blue whale surrounded by dioramas of marine life? How cool is that!
People who have gone to it before have raved about it. Now’s your chance to sleep at the museum. The sleepovers kick off on May 5th. The night kicks off with a champagne reception by 12th Night Jazz. Feel free to roam around the museum and view all the exhibits. No more waiting for people to move away from the glass cases, you’ve got the place to yourself---well, a few other people too, but still! When you’re tired, you get to unroll your sleeping bag under the aforementioned whale and sleep.
The $350 price per adult ($300 if you’re a member) also covers a dinner buffet, cots for attendees, a fossil tour by flashlight and more. This will happen all summer long. If you're planning on a trip to New York City, you might want to experience this once in a lifetime event while you're there. And yes, you can take photos while you're at the museum late at night,
