Dr. Vivian Diller, a psychologist who has 30 years of experience treating men, women and teens. For the past 20 years, Doctor Diller has written about self-esteem and body image. She spoke at a recent CVS press preview--The company is expanding their offerings and will have four new incredible product lines sold exclusively in their stores--more on that later.
During her speech, Dr. Diller mentioned that, "Psychologists elevate feeling good, and the beauty industry used to elevate looking good,” Diller said. “But the truth of it is, these two things are not that separate; we all know that.”
Dr. Diller continued on stating, “People who take time to relax --whether it’s a spa day, you get your hair done — people who take time and effort to look after themselves create what we call the thought-action cycle.” A thought action cycle is how a thought, say for example, feeling happy translates it having a positive outlook. That outlook leads to taking better care of oneself.
