It’s Kate Middleton AKA The Duchess of Cambridge’s birthday—here’s a look back on her busy year.
It’s Kate Middleton’s birthday today! The Duchess of Cambridge is now 32, and last month was named the top UK beauty icon for the third year in a row! Kate had a whirlwind year this past year. She became a mom, worked in the family firm, and always looked great. What’s the one thing everyone likes about her, besides her kindness, and openness is that she can play volleyball in wedges, and her fashion sense. She (unlike some starlets—we’re talking to you Kelly Osbourne) is that she’s not afraid to wear an outfit more than once.
Here’s a look back at her amazing year.
We saw the ittiest baby bump in January when Kate and her husband Prince William were at the unveiling of her official Duchess of Cambridge portrait at the National Gallery in London. Kate wore a dress from Whistle’s, necklace from Asprey and shoes from Episode. Kate wore this dress for the third time. First she wore it when she and Prince William traveled to Denmark in 2011 for UNICEF, then for a visit to Newcastle.
At the end of the month, Kate ran errands in London wearing a plaid cape from Zara, skinny jeans and boots from Pretty Wild.
Kate’s bump is growing! The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Hope House: Action on Addiction. She wore a black and white graphic print wrap dress from Max Mara.
It’s a busy month for Kate. She’s over her morning sickness and her appointment book is full.
First Kate, Prince William and Prince Harry are off to a wedding on March 2! Their friends Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mark Tomlinson got married in Switzerland. For the event, Kate wore a hat, natch, Her hat’s by Lock & Co, that’s Max Mara animal print dress peeping out of the cream coat and her purse is from Natasha.
Back in the UK, on March 5, she visits three places in Grimsy: The National Fishing Heritage Centre, Humberside Fire and Rescue Service and HavelockAcademy. The coat’s from Hobbs-She wore it for an appearance in Liverpool back in 2012.
Then on St. Patrick’s Day at an event honoring the Irish Guards, she wore an Emilia Wickstead coat.
Then on March 19, Kate and Prince William visited the headquarters of Child Bereavement UK.
The next day, Kate wearing another gorgeous coat and hat went to the unveiling of a new subway train at London’s Baker Street Underground.
For a two day tour of Scotland with Prince William, Kate wore Moloh’s tartan plaid Workers coat.
On April 21st, Kate went to the Scouts Review and we really saw her bump! She’s glowing!
May 22 was the date for the Queen’s annual summer party. Oh those people next to her? They're her in-laws, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
For Queen Elizabeth’s Coronation Anniversary—her 60th! Kate accompanied by her husband wore a cream on cream outfit.
There he is! Prince George makes his first appearance with his very proud parents.
For Kate’s first dress up event after the birth of Prince George, she and Prince William went to the Tusk Trust Conservation Awards, Kate wore a sparkly column gown.
In October, just 88 days after giving birth to Prince George, Kate’s playing volleyball! She attended a SportAid workshop and really had a blast!
A few days later, October 23, was the christening of Prince George.
