Normally, I can handle everything....except the dreaded flu bug.
-PJ Gach
I've been unusually silent this past week. I wasn't abducted by aliens. I didn't experience an earth-shattering date that lasted over 48 hours. I wasn't picked to run a country, head an organization, or recruited by a shadowy governmental agency.
I was felled by a microbe. Sometime over the past week, I came into contact with someone who was harboring a flowering case of the flu. Their entire system had been overtaken by the nasty virus. Since they were in the incubation stage (no symptoms showing) they wandered around the city. Much like Johnny Appleseed, they left a trail of incubators in their wake.
I was one of the happy, yes I am so sarcastic about that, fertile grounds that had the microbe bloom, bloom, bloom.
I haven't been this sick in years. Dizzy, coughing fits, dehydration, blowing my nose, achiness...I had every symptom short of the Bubonic plague.
Today was the first day that I've been kinda, sorta, up and about.
