The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were given baby presents from Australia’s Governor General Sir Peter Cosgrove and his wife Lady Cosgrove in Sydney. The newlyweds are on a royal tour of Australia. While Prince Harry has visited the country many times, this is Meghan Markle’s very first visit. During his opening remarks, Prince Harry stated the he was "very excited" to introduce his wife to Australia.
The gifts, a teeny weeny pair of Uggs baby boots and stuffed kangaroo are the very first gifts the royal couple has received. As the governor-general gave the gifts to Meghan, he said, “Here’s your first gift for the nursery,” and the Duchess of Sussex replied, “That’s our first baby gift!”
For the visit Meghan Markle wore the white colored “Blessed Dress” by Australian designer Karen Gee, a gold bracelet from the late Princess Diana’s jewelry collection, beige suede pumps from Stuart Weitzman and a trench coat. After visiting with the Governor General and his wife, Prince Harry and Meghan stopped by the zoo. Here they are with a koala. How cute!
Then the couple traveled over to the Sydney Opera House and watched a rehearsal of Spirit 2018 by the Bangarra Dance Theatre, an acclaimed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander modern dance company.
There's that PDA again! Who cares! Prince Harry and his wife are so in love, it's adorable to watch them out and about.
The couple's 16-day tour will take them through Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand. They have a total of 76 engagements, and will be attending the opening and the closing of the Invictus Games in Sydney. The couple has company--Meghan's close friend and stylist (unofficial of course) Jessica Mulroney and her husband, Ben have joined the tour.
